Secret War Operations Free Introductory Campaign Book For Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish Now Available

For some gamers, just diving into the deep-end with a new game and starting out with a huge game works just fine. I’m not some gamers. I like to learn a bit at a time, starting with whatever starter material a game might have and going from there. The folks over at Modiphius feel much the same way, as they’ve posted up Secret War Operations, a new free tutorial campaign for Achtung! Cthulhu Skirmish.

Blackwater Gulch Pledge Manager Now Available

Since Kickstarter campaigns only run for a relatively short amount of time, it’s very easy to miss one. And with them usually having special pricing and Kickstarter-exclusive pieces, you can really kick yourself for not getting in on one. Thankfully, there’s the Pledge Manager period, where companies will also let you jump in on the action. Just such a thing is happening now with Gangfight Games and Blackwater Gulch.

Dystopian Wars Expansion Up On Kickstarter

A couple weeks ago, Spartan Games had announced that they were going to come out with a new game.
Players… didn’t really like the idea.
That caused Spartan to send out a survey going, “Ok, what is it that you would like?” The players responded. And now Spartan has held up their end by launching a Kickstarter campaign to expand the world of Dystopian Wars.

Battlefront Shows Off Harrier Close Air Support Flight For Team Yankee

In the conflicts of present day and the near future, having close air support for your ground troops is vital. In Team Yankee, your British troops can be supported by a set of Harrier Close Air Support fighters.

New Konflikt ’47 Releases Available From Warlord Games

The Weird War II game, Konflikt ’47, gives us a look at a world where the conflict didn’t end when it did for us here in the real world. Hysterical Games Announces Panzerfäuste – Futbowel

As the snow gently falls on the bombed-out no-man’s-land between the trenches, it almost seems a strangely surreal scene of tranquility among all the carnage. The Great Dwarven War rages on between the Dwarves and the Orcs, the two groups huddled in their own trenches, looking to celebrate Hognachtswatch in their own way. Then, without warning, a futbowel ends up being kicked up across the Orc lines and over to the Dwarven side. As the Orcs duck down, expecting the Dwarf side to open up with machine guns and artillery, instead, there’s just call of, “Oi Orcy, doz youz fancy a game?”
That’s the story behind Panzerfäuste – Futbowel, a new, stand alone game from Hysterical Games.

Dark Skies Aerial Combat Game Up On Kickstarter

On October 3, 1942, everything changed. The world was deeply embroiled in the 2nd World War, but what happened would forever change the nature of that conflict. Dark and terrible things started pouring into the world. Great elder gods, long forgotten, manifested themselves and joined in the war. The Axis and Allies haven’t stopped waging their war, though, and have actually taken to integrating monstrous technologies into their arsenal. That’s the story behind Dark Skies, a new alternate history aerial combat miniatures game that’s up on Kickstarter now.

Outlaw Miniatures has announced that Wayland Games will now be in charge of the Wild West Exodus game line. Iron Maiden Weekend At Team Yankee

The British are coming!
The British are coming!
Sorry, it was that or a bit about watching Peter over at Gale Force Nine headbang to Iron Maiden, Slayer, Pantera, and Sepultura all weekend… which would be cool to see.
Anyway, no. This is about Team Yankee, where the British will be making their entrance with the Iron Maiden book, available this weekend.

Sauriana 54mm Miniatures Game Up On Kickstarter

You get 54mm dinosaur minis.
If that didn’t get you to go check out the campaign for Sauriana, I’m not sure what more you would need. But in an effort to not just make this post a single sentence and a link, I’ll elaborate. The game is set in an alternate version of the 19th century where steampunk scientists calling themselves the Cope Collective do battle with adventurers from the Explorer’s Club (and the dinosaurs they’ve found) as well as the Othniellians (the “cowboys of science”) and the hybrid creatures they are creating. The game is currently up on Kickstarter.

Imperial Skies Rulebook Now Available

It’s the end of the 19th Century. Technological innovations have made it so man and machine have taken to the skies in large numbers. Smoke-belching behemoths ply the airways as they patrol for enemy flying ships. The enemy is spotted! To battlestations! Wings of smaller aircraft take off, looking to intercept the enemy forces. Massive flying battleships, dreadnaughts, cruisers, and destroyers engage in combat far above the Earth’s surface. That’s the story behind Imperial Skies, which is available now.

Blackwater Gulch Second Edition Up On Kickstarter

The Year of New Editions rolls along. This time headed to the weird West with Gangfight Games’ Blackwater Gulch, 2nd Edition. For those that don’t know, Blackwater Gulch is set during the Gold Rush era (you know, like where the 49ers get their name from). Everyone’s looking to strike it rich. Now, there’s two ways to get gold. You can go out and dig it up for yourself. Or you can just ambush some unsuspecting prospector and grab it. This has created gangs all around the town, each looking out for themselves and their own. Adding to that, there’s plenty of spooky and creepy things roaming the desert that’d love to take a bite out of the human population, literally. Which gang will you back?

New Konflikt ’47 Kits Available From Warlord Games

Watch The History Channel for a couple days, an undoubtedly you’ll see some sort of program about strange, occult things that the Nazis were researching during WWII. Or just go watch/read Hellboy. Basically the same thing, but only one has Ron Perlman. Anyway, in the alternate-history world of Konflikt ’47, those occult searches yielded some good results, some of which you can see in the new releases available from Warlord Games.

The new rules for Bolt Action will not make the current army books, theater books, or models obsolete.
