It’s time once again for Friday. Now, normally, the week after a “short week” (such as last week) feels like they take forever. At least, to me they do. That’s why if given my druthers, I’d have a Monday off rather than a Friday. You get a long weekend and then a short week, as opposed to a short week, long weekend, then a regular week. But that’s me. Anyway, I’m happy to say that this week feels like it’s just flown by. Here we are already ready for a weekend. And baking fruitcake will be my reward.
But before we can get there, we have some business to attend to, such as a group of bite-sized stories we’ve collected over the past couple days. What sort of stories?
Ones like these: New Releases Available for Wolsung SSG from Micro Art Studio, Khurasan pre-release deal for 15mm late Cold War armour, Shark Day Miniature Available From Wonderlands Project, Krampus for Kaiju Kaos: The Miniatures Game Released, New releases for By Fire and Sword, Coming Soon – The Prometheans from Nexus Miniatures, Kromlech Legionary Thunder Gun with under-barrel Plasma Gun Now Available, Slavic Fantasy Miniatures Kickstarter by Deraj Studios has Launched, WH40k: Tactical Objectives App Release Date Announced, Post Captain Squadron Action Scenarios Posted, Bombshell Babes 2 on Preorder from Bombshell Miniatures, and Alexander Nevsky ready for Forgestarter campaign.
Well, I hope everyone’s Thanksgiving was good. Mine really couldn’t have been better.
And now, all those Christmas decorations are “okay” to have up. 😀
Anyway, let’s get back to it. Lots to cover today. We’ll start out with Advanced Deployment’s Black Friday Sale.
Can you tell I’m excited? What can I say? I love weekends and Friday is the gateway to the weekend. I’m like a kid in school ready to bust out and… well, I don’t exactly go crazy on weekends. Like this weekend I’ll be finishing up magnetizing my Calth set and probably watching more stand-up comedy on Netflix (aka – a gamer-modified “Netflix and chill”). But still, Wooooo!
Before we get there, though, we gotta give you some bite-sized stories we’ve come across in the past few days.
Today’s batch includes: Campaign Coins Releases Red Dragon Inn Coins Set, Kromlech New Release – Monstrous Creature Wings, Centauri Saga Reaches Funding Goal On Kickstarter, Tabletop Games Catan and More Come to Life with New Board Game Player App from Syrinscape, Kromlech Weekend Promo – Free Glue With Qualifying Order, and New Front Arc Marker Available From Tabletop-Art.
Well, that was quite a 24 hours for the start of the Arcadia Quest: Inferno Kickstarter campaign. The campaign funded in about 5min. It possibly would’ve been sooner, but Kickstarter stalled out briefly right at launch (seems that CMON Kickstarters have that sort of effect). This, of course, then meant that stretch goals were being broken even by the time the first actual update was posted. Well, now it’s time to go through some more as a whole bunch of add-ons have been added.
Yeah, Arcadia Quest Inferno might be just around the corner, but that’s just the Kickstarter campaign (which you can read more about here). There’s gonna be months to wait after that for the figures to make it to your doorstep. In the meantime, though, CoolMiniOrNot has some new heroes to line the ranks of your guild.
As usual, just about a month before they’re available, Spartan Games has started taking pre-orders for their next sets of releases. Considering what they have on deck, one could say they’re really making a “token effort” with this new batch.
… I guess you only get that joke when you see what they’re actually taking orders for. I guess I should probably show you that.
Forge Prints is back, back again. They’re running a new Kickstarter campaign for some more dungeon accessories, tokens, and fantasy creatures with which you can decorate your table, help keep track of things in your games, and eat your adventurers.
The weekend is once more almost upon us. We stand at the precipice of two whole days of not-work (well, I’ll still be making updates, but that’s alright). I’ve got a big model-building project for the weekend that recently showed up. I’m really excited for it. All The Bitz!… Which reminds me, I’m gonna need to pick up more glue…
Anyway, before we get there, we need to chew our way through some bite-sized stories.
Today’s batch includes: The Surakari Invasion $2.99 Sale, New Renders for Wild West Exodus Posted, New Antares Battle Supplies Available From Warlord Games, New Santa Dwarf from Kabuki Models, and Blackout Kickstarter makes subtle but important changes to goals.
Ulfsark Games mostly makes custom dice, coins, and tokens, but they’re working their way into making a new game. It has a far-Eastern feel, teamed up with anthropomorphic animals (I’m hoping for a “Chinese Boxing Ursus Maritimus” will be included). They’ve got a Beta version of the rulebook and some stats cards posted online for you to check out.
Is the week racing along for everyone else or is it just me? Hard to believe that it’s already Wednesday. Seems that we just started this week a couple days ago… Ok, so we did just start this week a couple days ago, but you know what I mean. What it does mean, though, is that we’ve got a midweek Snippets post for you.
In this batch of bite-sized stories we have: Kensei Coming Soon To Kickstarter, Awaken Tabletop RPG Passes Funding Goal on Kickstarter, Final days for Wolf & Hound on Kickstarter, Final Hours for Ninja Crusade 2nd Edition On Kickstarter, Final Hours for Spellbook Gaming Boxes on Kickstarter, Skirmisher Publishing Releases 100 Oddities for a Graveyard, Licensed Coins from The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit on Kickstarter, Fireforge Russian Infantry sculpting completed, Squadron Strike Ship Book 2 Back in “Print” as a PDF, The Ion Age: Rewards Programme upgraded and expanded, and Kromlech New Release – Legionary Chain Axes.
I trust that everyone had themselves a safe and fun Halloween. Anyone see any good gaming-themed costumes out there? Also, did you enjoy the extra hour of sleep afterward? That’s the part I enjoyed the most, I’d say. But then, I’m a bear of simple pleasures. Like how this morning, the month already started off with some Guns ‘n’ Roses weather.
So as we sort through our Halloween candy let’s take a look at some bite-sized stories, shall we?
Today we have: New Anti-Elephant Wagon From Xyston Miniatures, Brigade Models Releases New Neo-Soviet Dreadnought, New Limited Edition Markers from Warsenal, Deraj Studios Announces November 6th Kickstarter Launch, and The Liche Lord free in all orders during November 2015 at Alternative Armies.
Batman just seems custom-made for Halloween. Dark, brooding, and with enemies that certainly fit into various “Halloween tropes.” Black cat, scary clown, scarecrow, … ummm… penguins… Ok, so maybe not that last one, but there’s no new Penguin releases this month. What they do have, however, more than makes up for it. You’ve seen the preview of the Batmobile. Well, now you can pick it up. Plus, there’s a place to park it, and all the insane characters you catch during the course of the game.
We’re getting there, people. We’re making our way to the weekend. For many, it will start with some Halloween parties tomorrow night. Any of you got any Halloween gaming plans? I’m thinking I might just get a bunch of bags of candy and watch all the Evil Dead movies and then figure out what else from there. Anyone wanna come over and join in? 😉
At the moment, though, we’ve got some stories to make your gaming table look as good as possible. It’s time for another Terrain Corner.
Today we have: Chaos Factory Fantasy Sports Accessory/Field Indiegogo Campaign Running Now, Scenery Dice are now available, and Fat Dragon adds ‘snap-lock’ cave terrain to Kickstarter.
Well, we’re making our way through the week. My week has been…
So yeah, we’re making our way through the week. Let’s get you some bite-sized stories that we’ve come across recently.
In today’s batch we have: Warbears and Stagriders Kickstarter Announced, New 20mm Car Conversion Set From Ramshackle Games, Good: The Battle Halloween Special Rules Available Now, Geek Fever Games and Firepeng Games Join Forces, Cul-De-Sac Conquest Heading Through Stretch Goals, Ratgard: Badger Multiple Launch Rocket System Now Available, New Infinity Status Discs from Warsenal, Scotia Grendel New releases, Happy Seppuku Passes Kickstarter Goal, Mr. Maksimov’s Manor coming to Kickstarter in January 2016, and Aquelarre Dark & Mature Medieval RPG On Kickstarter.
We’re making our way ever-closer to the weekend. Thursday is upon us and soon it will be Friday. After that it will be Saturday, glorious Saturday.
But at the moment, it’s still Thursday. As such, it’s time to look once more at some bits to help make your gaming tables look their best.
Today’s batch of stories includes: New Blacksmith Shop From Burn In Designs, Manorhouse Workshop Update #5 – 3D Bases – Modular Terrain: Skirmish & Wargame, and Free asteroids, scenery, acrylic tokens, or Other With Spartan Games Purchases.
The week rolls on. To think we’ve already made it to Wednesday. We deserve something nice. Like… a batch of bite-sized stories served up all in one place for your convenience. Yeah, that sounds good.
So let’s get to it.
Today we have: Bailey Records New Release: Kaiju Kaos – OMFG Series 4 Stat Cards, Folklore: The Affliction announces Story Journal created with Adam & Brady Sadler, Dragonborn – Symphonic Album for Table RPGs Kickstarter, Rebel Minis Releases 15mm Civilian Hunters Pack #3 now Available, Alternative Armies: Dwarf Runic Golem 28mm kit pre-order offers now live, Nova Aetas – Vesuvio’s Forge overview, Purgatory Releases St. Peter Figure, New Medieval Soccer tokens and templates from Advanced Deployment, A0 The Rising Knight — Adventures for 5th Edition Rules, Now available – Flagstone Deals From Tabletop-Art, Bardagi – The claim for Gold – 170% funded on Kickstarter, Red Box Games Halloween 20% Sale, and Machu Picchu Dice on Kickstarter.
The week is progressing along. The turbulence of Monday starting to calm slightly on Tuesday and hopefully continuing into today. Let’s not jinx it by being overconfident, though. There’s plenty of week left to go.
In the meantime, Wednesday means posting a collection of bite-sized stories.
In today’s batch of snippets we have: New Warthrone approved army list: Orcs & Goblins from Warhammer, Onus! Rome vs. Carthage English Edition Coming to Kickstarter, Foxy and her gang are re-released at Statuesque Miniatures, Secrets of the Lost Tomb: The Elite Missions over 900% Funded, New 15mm Normans from Baueda added to Indiegogo, Two New Releases From Hitech Miniatures, Taranis Tracked Tanks by Bob Naismith offers now live from The Ion Age, New Infinity Limited Edition Unit Markers from Warsenal, and 11 Days Left in Cabals Kickstarter.
Well, seems people were excited about the Apocalypse Box over on The Others Kickstarter. The funding has risen and now all of Envy has been unlocked. Even more than that, another hero has been unlocked with another upcoming.
I hope your weekend is going well (or has gone well if you are much further East than where I am currently). Mine’s been full of some older movies that were watched just for the hell of it (such as Beavis and Butt-Head Do America, again, because just for the hell of it).
And now it’s Sunday, so that means a day of housework for me. It also means a collection of bite-sized stories for you.
In this batch we have: New Hansom Tank for Empire of the Dead, Midknight Heroes Interview on CPOP, Advanced Deployment Debuts New Acrylic Color and Free Tokens, and Secrets of the Lost Tomb: The Elite Missions Kickstarter Launching in 9 Days.
Friday, glorious gatekeeper to the weekend. For many of us, just a couple more hours until we, giddy as schoolchildren, run out of our offices and into several blissful days of doing… just… whatever the hell we want.
Friday also means a bit of a smorgasbord of bite-sized stories we’ve collected.
In this batch we have: Artana Launches The Best Damn Gaming Coins Ever…Two Kickstarter, Dungeon Crawler Minis Kickstarter: The Behemoth, DrunkQuest Kickstarter Stretch Goals announced, Imaginative Miniatures New Releases, Releases for September from The Ion Age, Alkemny’s Kickstarter to Launch Next Month, Warsenal Limited Edition Unit Markers for Infinity, Dark Art Studios Posts Autumn Releases, Khurasan releases 18mm WSS Austrians/Imperials, and Brigade Models Release 15mm Indonesian Grav Tanks.
Yarr arr yarr! I loddie the hotpants!
Grab your grog and get ready to set sail. Rum & Bones, CMON’s pirate combat miniatures board game is available online and at fine gaming stores near you. If you like MOBA-style video games, then the gameplay for Rum & Bones should be right up your alley. Batten down the hatches! Hoist the main sail! And other pirate cliches!
In the upcoming issue of Ravage Magazine US, there’s a review of the Batman Miniatures Game by Knight Models. Before now, I have to admit that I’d not really looked into the game. However, after reading the article, I’m rather intrigued and just might have to look into it more. In the meantime, Knight Models has a new set of releases for the game (as well as one other) they’re talking about.
We’re just chugging right along in the week. We’ve already made it back here to Wednesday. Hopefully the week has been treating you well.

The week is coming to an end. Hopefully if you were at Gen Con last weekend, you’ve managed to get back into the “regular swing” of things. Just yesterday I was able to get through the last few lingering e-mails that’d backed up over the week I was away. Now to cruise into a nice weekend of… well, I plan on cooking. Red beans & rice, maybe some Italian beef… I want to make a pumpkin pie with squash mousse as well… We’ll see how much of that I actually get through. Anyone that wants to come over and taste-test is welcome.
Speaking of bite-size morsels, we’ve got a collection of news stories that fit that description as well.
This time around we have: Year Two Collection released at The Ion Age, The Fiver with Joshua Garrett on Designing Random Encounters, New Female elven guardian by Brother Vinni, New Tokens and Templates from Sally 4th and Final Days for Casual Game Insider Magazine on Kickstarter.
With the drive to Indy yesterday, I obviously didn’t have much of a chance to make posts (and no, trying to type in the car all day was not an option. I would’ve gotten all the carsick). So today I bring you both the Midweek Snippets and today’s Terrain Corner together again in one place.
In this batch of bite-sized articles and terrain stories we have: DLD Productions website now open, Web-Based RPG Toolset City of Brass Opens, New Releases Available from Hitech Miniatures, Pondemonium! We’re less than a week to the big show. That’s Gen Con… so as to make sure I’m not confusing anyone there.
Of the many vendors that will be there, that includes Gale Force Nine. And they have quite a lot planned for the event. There’s some new models. There’s some new expansions to games. And there’s some brand new games. It’s a little something for everyone.
Welcome back again to TGN. Hopefully you had a good day yesterday. I spent the morning cleaning the place up a bit. Then most of the afternoon assembling a little more than half of the Age of Sigmar box set. The other half will be done today, after I get this post scheduled up. I’ve just got the Khorne warrior-dudes left to go.
How about you? What sort of gaming-related activities did you do yesterday/have planned for today?
In this batch of snippets we’ve got: A couple more installments of The Fiver from The Meeple Mechanic, Advanced Deployment’s Huge Birthday Sale, Schleswig Holstein flags from Victorian Steel, Shattered Crown Previews Bear Cavalry Render, and Last days for RN Estudio’s Latest Fantasy Sports Indiegogo campaign.
We’re halfway there, ladies and gentlemen. Halfway to the weekend. If you haven’t started making plans, now would be a good time. For those of you in the US, the 4th of July is Saturday. I’m sure cookouts will abound. And if you’re at one, why not bring along a game or two to play? There’s plenty of party games that would be most welcome at just about any gathering.
For me? I’m going to keep things low-key this weekend. I had two rather busy weekends in a row. So this weekend I’m going to stay at home and cook. What am I going to cook? … I’ve not figured that out yet. Suggestions would be welcome (and any accompanying recipes also welcome).
But as for right now, it’s time for some bite-sized stories.

Busy Sunday here at the bear cave. The past couple days have been full of classic D&D action, and now it’s catch-up-with-all-the-work time. For the record, the DM of the game I played in knows me well. He picked a Totemic Druid for me to play and, of course, picked polar bear as my totem animal. *smirk* It was a good time had by all. “Defeating some giant ants by way of sugarbomb” sort of good time.
But anyway, we’ve got our usual batch of bite-sized stories we want to bring you.
In this group we’ve got: New 15mm Sci-Fi Polish Released from Brigade Models, Voodooworx Miniatures Releases First Collectors Series Figure, New Goodies from Advanced Deployment (with TGN-special deal code),
Well, we’re mostly caught-up here after the Expo last weekend. Still a few things to deal with, but my inbox was actually down to a manageable level after going through it yesterday. Of course, it’s now filled back up again, but waddyagonnado?
Another thing that’s full is the box with the bite-sized stories we’ve collected over the past couple days.
Good thing it’s time for our regular Snippets post.
In this batch we have: New Releases from Scotia Grendel, Mounted Heroes 3D Store Opening This Fall, Some More Installments of “The Fiver” with The Meeple Mechanic, Spirit of Slaughterloo scenario for Flintloque, Manorhouse Workshop Update #38 – Modular Underground Project – New Pledge and new Early Bird, Iron Battlefield: corridors, buildings and catwalks for Space Hulk & Infinity on Indiegogo, Siren Miniatures posts Concept art for incoming July releases, Japanese-themed Robin Hood figures on Indiegogo, New Colossal Zeppelin from Titan-Forge, New Dungeon Saga Tiles Previews, New Dungeon Saga Tiles Previews, Heroic Maps – Outstation H9-7M, Infinity Plus One Master of Coin Kickstarter Happening Now, Soda Pop Miniatures Previews Beach Party Marie-Claude, Tabletop-Art Previews new Terrain, Historical, Fantasy and Sci-fi Offers at 15mm.co.uk, New Pulp Alley figures by Statuesque, and Demigods Evolution unlocks Angel of Death.
Give yourself a pat on the back. You’ve made it to another Wednesday. We’re halfway to the weekend. If you have any mid-week gaming plans, we’d love to hear about it down in the comments. Over the next couple days, I’ll be prepping for the D&D game I’m running on Saturday. Last session, the group narrowly avoided TPK twice. So obviously, I need to up my game some.
As usual for the day, we’ve got some bite-sized stories we’ve collected together for you.
