Midweek Snippets

We continue on with the post-Gen Con week’s work. Though I was able to keep up with a lot of things, obviously, things are going to fall behind in some areas. I’m almost out of the mountain of e-mails I’d gotten over the weekend. If I’ve not replied to you yet, don’t worry, I will. There’s just a lot to sort through.

At the moment, though, it’s sorting through a bunch of bite-sized stories.

Mid-Week Snippets

The work week rolls on. We’ve made it halfway through. Just another couple days and we’ll be blissfully back into the weekend. For some of you, that weekend will include San Diego Comic Con. I… will not be there. That’s probably a good thing. I doubt I’d do well in July in California with what feels like a hundred billion other people all crammed into one place.

Anyway, that aside, we’ve got another batch of bite-sized stories for you.

Today we have: Gods and Monsters previews Herald of Moros art and 3D render, Star Crush Starship Miniatures on Kickstarter, BTR Innovations Let’s Play Dice on Kickstarter, The Shattered Crown previews Stag Rider sculpt, Atlantis Miniatures Live on Kickstarter, Meridian Miniatures unleash Chibi Zombies, Syrinscape Releases New Dragon’s Demand Soundscapes and more, Zombie Dice is back from Steve Jackson Games, Oddzial Osmy’s 3mm and 15mm June Releases Arrive at PicoArmor, and Freeblades Specialty Tiered Dice sets added to Kickstarter rewards.

TGN Sunday Snippets

It’s Sunday. Here in the States, it’s Father’s Day. If you are a father, hope you have a great Father’s Day. If you’re not a father, I still hope you have a great day, regardless. Zombicide: Black Plague over $2mil

The number of people looking to fight against the zombie hordes in Zombicide: Black Plague keep rising. They have made it past the $2mil. mark on the Kickstarter campaign. To celebrate, they wanted to something big… very big. Horrendously, grotesquely, hugely big. That something is… the Ablobination.

Well over $1mil Raised for Zombicide: Black Plague

It would seem as though the change of venue has caught the attention of gamers the world over. The launch of Zombicide: Black Plague quickly passed the funding goal (even with the hiccup in the server service that Kickstarter had right at the start) and has shot up well over $1 million in its first day (we’re even still a couple hours from a full 24 hours since time of launch). This is more than double what Rue Morgue made on its first day (that had previously held the title for “biggest launch day total for Zombicide).

Warlord Games Previews First Terminator Genisys Expansion Sets

Warlord Games will be shipping the Terminator Genisys: The War Against The Machines starter sets soon. Warlord’s showing off the first three of those packs. And now you can see them below the cut!
There’s also a new trailer out for the movie that we’ve embedded below, too.

But that’s what happens when you charge up to 4 Dire Bears and basically give them a turn to munch on your character before the next character from the party is there to help. Oh well. As for today, we’ve got another batch of bite-sized stories for you.

Bigsby’s Bargain Box Up On Kickstarter

Bigsby’s Bargain Box is up on Kickstarter and looking for some funding. What are Bigsby’s Bargain Boxes? They’re an entire game night in a single kit. Not only are there adventures for your gaming group (1-3 session mini-campaigns), but there’s pre-generated characters for each adventure, plus a USB drive full of sound effects, as well as digital editions of the campaign and characters. But wait, there’s more! They also give you dice (because everyone loves getting dice) and props for the adventure. Also included are recipes for simple-to-make meals to go along with it all (as cooking is one of my hobbies, this part intrigues me the most).

Friday Snippets

You’ve survived another week! You deserve something special. You know, you’ve worked hard. Take the next two days off, on me. (Note: offer only valid if you work Monday-Friday. I don’t need anyone messaging me saying I got them fired over the weekend. 😛 ) Hopefully you have some gaming action lined up. My D&D got moved to next weekend. So this weekend I’m getting my tattoo finally colored in. I’m rather excited. I’ve been wanting to finish the piece for months now.

For those that don’t know, I’ve got the werebear artwork, done by the legendary and world-famous Heath “BA” Foley, from Blackwater Gulch on my upper right arm. Yeah, it’s a bear and has gaming ties. What sort of game-related tattoos do the rest of you have? Share yours and there may be a special prize in it for one lucky commenter. (do try and keep photos work-appropriate, as much as possible, please)

Anyway, on to the bite-sized stories we’ve collected in the past couple days.

Geekify Running RPG Dice Board Kickstarter

Geekify has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their RPG Dice Board. Do you hate it when you drop your dice from the gaming table? I know last session of D&D I had, we all apparently had a case of dropsey, since dice were always hitting the floor. Anyway, Geekify has a solution. It’s their pop-action RPG Dice Board. Now you can have your dice safely sequestered, yet still roll-able. You can change out dice as well, so it’s not like you’re locked into the ones you originally put in the board.
The campaign is set to run for another 28 days.
