During Gen Con 2013, Mayfair Games made history by breaking the world record for “the most people playing Settlers of Catan simultaneously.” Well, on the Friday of Gen Con this year (which is July 31st), Mayfair is looking to break that record again. The current is set at 922. Do you want to be in on it? You get some cool swag. Plus, the game is in support of charity.

The game will use a hybrid set of the Settlers of Catan rules and be played to 25 points. Participants will get a “Big Game” Catan shirt, card deck with extra cards, and a special map printed just for this event.
The charity being supported is The Julian Center, which gives support to victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and other life crises. So it’s not just gaming to break a record, or to get some cool swag, but also for a good cause.

Tickets are limited (though I’m guessing to at least 923). You can get yours now over on the Gen Con website.
