Catalyst Game Labs has announced they’ve acquired the license to make games based of the “Vikings” television series.

From the website:

Catalyst Game Labs announced they have licensed rights to the hit drama series “Vikings” from MGM Consumer Products, a division of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc.(MGM), which holds worldwide merchandising, licensing and consumer products rights on behalf of the show.

The first game will be Jarl: The Vikings Tile Laying Game, based on the critically-acclaimed game The Duke. This exciting new game brings a slew of new tiles for players to master, even allowing players to place their Vikings tiles directly against The Duke tiles determining the real conqueror! Catalyst Game Labs will publish Jarl: The Vikings Tile Laying Game at the end of this year.

I was born at a very young age. I plan on living forever. So far, so good.

What a dull game to come from such an exciting series. “Abstract Strategy” isn’t exactly the type of game I think of when I think of the Vikings series.
