Here’s a game I thought looked fun, until I looked at the rules and the actual gameplay and saw it was actually kinda complex. There’s play-decks, and skill ratings, and 2d6 dice rolls, and modifiers, and actions, and abilities, and free activations, and half-moves, and all sorts of stuff going on dynamically.

Which perplexes me, since the whole point of Tecmo Bowl back in the day was the world’s easiest, quickest football videogame. Four plays, two buttons, and just go. Not sure how that translates to all of these tokens & markers & dice & cards & skills & abilities. But the graphics do look really nice.

Davos, this was the easiest game I tried at GenCon. I was playing after about 10 minutes. The complexities are cleverly instinctive. Give it a shot!
