Blackwater Gulch is now up on kickstarter. Go and be a part of the game!

From the release:

I’m very pleased to announce the launch of the Blackwater Gulch Kickstarter Program!

If you are unfamiliar with Kickstarter, it is a website that allows a company to get the funding they need for a new product or service, directly from fans and potential customers. I am using Kickstarter get the funding needed to produce box sets for the game. These sets will include 5 unique 30mm miniatures, 5 premium Character Cards and a “quickstart” rulebook, all packaged in a handy foam-lined plastic case that you can use to store and transport your figures.

Potential backers are essentially pre-ordering one of the upcoming box sets, in addition to bundled deals with scenery pieces, and even the opportunity to create your very own character or gang that will be permanently added to the storyline for the game world! There, you will find all the information on how to support the game, and what different packages are offered, in addition to sample sculpts and concept art for new figures that that will be included.

So, please check it out, and for more information on the game you can visit my website at http://www.gangfightgames.com

    Seems intriguing.

Just over $1000 in the first 12 hours, Wow!

  • Necros

Just under $3000 now .. almost there 🙂 yay!

about $100 left and 29 days to go… the gaming consumers have money regardless of the state of the world. 🙂

I’m buying in, but it isn’t really much of a deal. All you get for being an early adopter is your name in the rulebook and free shipping. The deals with the buildings are even worse.

Oh well, I guess the main “bonus” is that the game gets produced at all.

Aaaand I just put them over $3,500. Can’t wait to see the project realized.

  • Sometimes I laugh at some of the “bonuses” for kickstarting…
    a free magnet
    your name in the book
    your name on the website

other times, I’m like, wow, that’s a great deal. You’ve got my money.

Kickstarter is great to fund a project, but at least make sure the levels are what gamers want, not the cheap trinkets and worthless bits you can give to donors.

I’d like to see decent $20 to $30 levels…not $15 then $50 or other big jumps.

This is just a general comment about Kickstarter, not this project in particular.

    Thanks folks! 🙂

BWG is my game. Really surprised I was able to get to my goal in a whole 48 hours! Hard at work now putting together the info and artwork for the 3rd and 4th gang that I can hopefully add into the Kickstarter too by the end 🙂
