Battle Systems has launched their new Sci-Fi Modular Terrain System Kickstarter campaign. They’re shooting up in funding quick. This should be one to watch.

From the campaign:

Hello, we are Battle Systems and we make terrain for 28mm tabletop wargames.

We currently design and sell a downloadable sci-fi range which the customer constructs themselves. Although it is popular with hobbyists we have decided to make something easier for gamers who don’t have time to build our sets from scratch.

Our terrain is ideal for many game systems including Warhammer 40K, Infinity, Mercs, Zone Mortalis, War Path, Star Wars Minis, Deadzone and Pandora. It’s also ideal for non-sci-fi systems such as Achtung! Cthulhu 🙂

I’m not sure how I can resist this KS…

    Looks very cool.

I thought this would be cheaper. Am I being unreasonable?

I think it’s moderately reasonable.. when you start tossing in the stretch goals, it really starts to come into alignment more, especially with that shipping cost.

The closest product I can think of to compare this to is Terraclips. You can pick up a set for about $40 online and you need to add a 2 or 3 boxes of clips that run you about $15 each.

Plus card stock is heavy, both Battle Systems and Terraclips will cost a bit to ship.

I assume these will be available for retail purchase once the Kickstarter is shipped. Anyone know the details?

Todosi this is not from them.. but they have a small crew and I would assume there will be a delay between KS fulfillment and retail (so go back it ya git).
