Avatars of War Releases Multi-Part Plastic Harpies For the 9th Age

Fans of Gargoyles, Harpies, and other things with wings that swoop around in the night and attack people with their talons should rejoice. Avatars of War has new multi-part plastic kits available for you.


Even the sprue has been given a wood grain so you can use it as flight stand material. Plus, the first 100 orders will get an extra 5 figures (so a total of 15, instead of the usual 10).

    9th Age is the fan-made update to Warhammer FB, right? Because it is pretty awesome to see someone supporting it openly.

      a good few companies have signed up to support it now, there was an announcement on the 9th age website at some point.

    Really good looking models and at a decent price. Only one problem for me…. way too many components. I have a tendency to look at kits like these, then look at the finished models, and wonder why they just didn’t produce them that way in the first place?

      With HIPS plastic, they need to produce them in many pieces, or they end up looking very cheap (extremely 2 dimensional poses, huge loss of detail around mold lines).

      Softer PVC plastic can cast similar to metal, and has its own set of advantages and disadvantages.

      But if you want hard plastic like this to come out looking good, you’ll need to be ready for a many part kit.
