Looks interesting. Any word on this company? I’d hate to get ‘Defiance Games’ed.

The order I placed sat for maybe 2 days before I got a reply notifying me that it had processed and I think it’s been shipped, but I’m not 100% sure. I got a response from a direct communication as well on another matter and the person I spoke with informed me that they’re going to be short-staffed in the near future because they’re hitting a few conventions… Not sure if that’ll effect the shipment of the pre-orders though.

So far I’ve only heard good things about them. I put in a small order for their existing products to “kick the tires” and get a feel for them before putting in any kind of large order.. I’ll post here when it comes in.. should be very soon now.

Also.. this stuff is already done and the people from the KS have started receiving stuff as far as I know.. Dwartist (the artist who painted the pictures featured) gave a good review on his blog.

Anvil Industries has been going a while now as a “compatible-with-40k” bits manufacturer.

Nothing I’ve ever heard about them has been negative or “Defiance-esque”, although the aesthetics and proportions of their products may not be to everyone’s tastes.

If I wanted what they were offering, I’d feel pretty comfortable pledging on one of their KS.

I’m with you on this. Several of their older offerings have extremely wonky proportions and their guns are so over-sized it’s a bit ridiculous. The Afterlife stuff is a bit more tame in this regard and I really like the look of their gun tractors. I don’t care for the exo-suit type models but if you look at the back of them, you see that the armor doesn’t look right but it lines up to the pilot who does look right. Personally, I might’ve gone a different route but they’ll get there I’m sure.

Man, Anvil sure has come a long way since they started. I remember the guy posted some of his early work on Warseer (the compatible with 40K stuff) and I wasn’t much impressed… I dislike Space Marines in general though…

But this, this is pretty awesome stuff! He or they, don’t know, have really grown since that humble beginning.

I wish them the best of luck!
