Sometimes it can be rough to find a gaming system that’s good to use to introduce new gamers, particularly younger ones, to the world of gaming. Well, Anthro-Adventures is designed to be just that. Though that’s not to say that it’d be boring to veteran gamers. Instead, it looks to bridge that gap, using familiar (to gamers) rules (the setting is designed to be used with Pathfinder) while the setting brings in familiar settings (drawing from various well-known anthropomorphic setting such as Redwall). It’s up on Kickstarter now.
More than just a new setting, Anthro-Adventures brings in plenty of new rules “crunch” to expand whatever game you might be playing. That includes 21 new playable races, each with unique racial abilities, spells, and feats. They’ve already gone through stretch goals that adds in a 25-page adventure (for level 3 characters), so you can get a good idea of what the setting is like.
Since I’ve mentioned stretch goals, you can tell that they’re already above their funding goal (by more than 10x, actually). They’ve still got 18 days left to go.
