Tuesday. We're well established now into the work week and ready to keep chugging along, looking to get back to the weekend. I keep realizing that I've got D&D again this weekend. After last weekend being so busy, it's almost like, "Oh! Hey! I've got game again!" With all the stupid shennanigans we got into last game, it will be interesting to see what happens this week. To help get us there as fast as possible, let's tune in to some gaming podcasts and make the time go by.
This week on the dial we have: Morrus' Unofficial Tabletop RPG Talk Episode 68: Haunted West with Chris Spivey; The Secret Cabal Episode 192: Everdell, Too Many Bones, War Chest and Board Game Expansions; Tabletop Talk Episode 42: Shenlong (Ten Thunders) Deep Dive with Peter Sidaway; and Blue Peg, Pink Peg Episode 156: Horrified.
This week, Morrus and Peter are joined by Chris Spivey to talk about his new weird west game on Kickstarter now, Haunted West. In the news, a new Dungeons & Dragons race available for charity, Robotech RPG available for pre-order, Eberron: Rising from the Last War preview, and more! Plus Our Favorite Game in All the World and a brand new sketch!
In episode 192, The gang starts out by going back to some of the Short Topics from the last episode and updating with some new information followed up by something of the games we've been getting into lately. Then we jump into a deep dive review of Everdell from Chip Theory Games and look back at both Too Many Bones from Chip Theory Games and War Chest from AEG. Then after Tony T gives us a rundown of all the most important news items from around the tabletop gaming world, we have a roundtable discussion about Board Games Expansions.
Join Craig as his guest, Peter Sidaway, gives a deep dive into making Shenlong and his crew effective in Malifaux 3rd edition. He explains what models he brings in, the role they play in scoring points and even gives some ways to counter this Enlightened crew. Pay attention to the last segment or Shenlong and his crew will bring the Fury of the Dawn and hand you a loss in your next match.
1) The Pegs discuss their recent game plays including Anomaly, Carnival of Monsters, and Zombicide: Black Plague and more;
2) All the Pegs review the cooperative pick-up-and-deliver game Horrified; and
3) Look back at Detective: A Modern Crime Board Game.
