Remastered Game Threads of Fate by PostCurious Takes Players on a Supernatural Journey through Norse Mythology

PostCurious has launched a Kickstarter campaign for their remastered game, Threads of Fate. The campaign has already raised over $85,000 from a $50,000 goal, with 28 days left to go. The game is a remastered version of PostCurious’ debut game, The Tale of Ord, and combines elements of escape rooms, board games, and interactive fiction.

Players will progress through a narrative over four episodes, with each episode packed with puzzles and artifacts. The game can be played solo or cooperatively, with up to four players. Each of the four chapters takes approximately two to three hours to solve, totaling over 10 hours of gameplay.

In Threads of Fate, players take on the role of a private investigator tasked with finding two missing professors from the Emerens Institute. As they uncover information about a mysterious relic found by an archaeological team, players will have the opportunity to change the course of destiny. Using letters, articles, drawings, websites, and physical artifacts, players will explore the supernatural forces of Norse mythology and uncover the truth behind the disappearances.

The Tale of Ord was a handmade game released in 2018 as a limited edition of 500 copies. The updated edition, Threads of Fate, has been adapted for a full production run, allowing the game to reach more people at a more affordable cost. The second edition features improved puzzles, signposting, graphics, and various other edits based on feedback from Tale of Ord players. Additionally, there are component updates, a new wooden box design, and a lower price point.
