WizKids Previews What If…? Daredevils

Where we are now is because of a long series of decisions, situations, and happenstance. But what if anything along the way had been different? How would things change? Well, in comics, you can actually change stuff around like that and see what might’ve happened. Like, what if Daredevil was an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.? That’s what we get a look at here in this HeroClix preview.

Napoleon Saga: Waterloo Up On Kickstarter

You demanded it, and we’re here to deliver (actually, it’d been in the queue already for posting). Napoleon Saga: Waterloo, a new historical board game, is up on Kickstarter. Play out one of the most important battles in Western Civilization and see if maybe this time the French will win. If they don’t, I suggest celebrating your victory with a Beef Wellington, literally created to honor the event (we really need to do that sort of thing again).

Horror Boards Horror Game System Up On Kickstarter

What love “What if…?” scenarios and to see match-ups between our favorite characters. Who would win in some sort of mythical fight between two icons? Horror Boards lets you live out some of those fantasies by pitting different horror movie characters against one-another in a no-holds-barred duel to the death (or further, in some of their cases). The game is up now on Kickstarter

Pinball Showdown To Be Released At Origins

Normally, we hear about Kickstarter campaigns being pushed back from the posted release date. Things happen, and even when seemingly everything is taken into account, a release date may be missed. Shoot Again Games is, technically speaking, not releasing Pinball Showdown when they originally expected. But, in this case, that’s a good thing. They were originally going to have the game at Gen Con. But now, they’ve moved it up to Origins.

Cy-Co Western Cyberpunk Board Game Up On Kickstarter

So let’s say that you don’t manage to stop the Metal Dawn and humanity is overthrown. That’s kinda terrible. But with the robots now in charge, that doesn’t guarantee that things are going to be smooth sailing from there on out. Robosapiens aren’t perfect, and criminals once again roam the streets. The Wild West has become wild once more. Now, Cyber-Cops (or Cy-Cos as they’re called), patrol the streets to keep the peace. That’s the story behind Cy-Co, the new Western Cyberpunk board game that’s up on Kickstarter now.

Everything Epic Games Running Metal Dawn Kickstarter

We all know I’m a big fan of giant robots. The one time I’m not so excited about them is when they’re trying to overthrow the world and kill at the humans. Unfortunately, that’s just what’s happening in Metal Dawn. An AI has gone rogue and is causing all sorts of mayhem, sending in waves of robotic troops. Humanity has just one last hope as they try to hack the AI and destroy it, permanently. But will they make it in time? The game is up on Kickstarter now.

Conan had quite a lot of adventures where he wore quite a few different hats. He had his crown when he was a king. He had his headband when he was a Barbarian. He had his… umm… something when he was the Destroyer. He’s also a thief from time to time. It’s that part of his career that you get to look over with Conan the Thief, the new sourcebook for the Conan RPG from Modiphius. You can get your pdf copy now.

River Horse Posts Tails of Equestria Mini-Adventure

Tails of Equestria is a bit different than the other RPGs we usually feature here on TGN. As such, while most of us are pretty sure in adventure-writing for our games, it might take a bit of fiddling to figure out how to make one for Tails. River Horse is helping out by posting a mini-adventure, for free, on their site. We’ll be getting more adventures like these in the upcoming dice sets that are going to be released next month, too.

While it’s good to be back in the office and once more in my regular routine, after last week’s ordeal with my apartment, I’m still looking forward to the weekend.
