Elected: The Game Relaunches on Kickstarter

Richard Nixon wasn’t elected President the first time he ran. And he’s not the only President we’ve had that didn’t make it the first time around. That’s alright. “If at first you don’t succeed” and all that. That’s the attitude taken by the folks behind Elected The Game. They didn’t make it the first time, but they’re back and ready to try again to get your vote (and pledge) on Kickstarter.

The Driftwood Verses Campaign Setting Up On Kickstarter

I love a good, unique setting for a game book. This isn’t one you see very often. It’s a gloomy, nautical fantasy realm called The Driftwood Verses. Don’t go all, “Aye, mehearties!” on me, as that’s not really what’s going on. They describe it as something out of Melville’s Nantucket mixed with a soundtrack by Tom Waits (I love Tom Waits).

Mercenaries Added To Polyversal Kickstarter

People can always find a way to make a buck. While not “the world’s oldest profession” (that’d be something else), paying someone to fight your wars for you certainly goes back a long way as well. And that will progress far into the future as well, as there’s a Mercenaries group now available for Polyversal.

GCT Studios Previews Xi-Han and Zoo for Bushido

Bakemono are tricky, little buggers. Some can jump into shadows and come out elsewhere. Others employ various magic spells to confound you. And some just turn into giant, hulking brutes and bash your brains in with their now-oversized hands. That’s the case for Xi-Han and his alter-ego, Zoo. They’re coming soon for the Savage Wave for Bushido.

Mayfair Games Announces Oh My Goods Card Game

In manufacturing, there’s a saying, “Pick two: Good, Fast, Cheap.” That is to say, if you want something good and fast, it won’t be cheap. If you want something good and cheap, it won’t be fast. Or if you want something fast and cheap, it won’t be good. You have to balance between those options when making your products. And that’s just the case in Oh My Goods, a new card game coming from Mayfair Games.

Waka Tanka Now Available From CoolMiniOrNot

The Summer Solstice is a very important time. The Great Shaman uses the longest day as a chance to contact the Spirit of Everything. Surrounding tribes aid in this process by sending Apprentices to help with the rituals. They’d fast for days, hoping that The Spirit of Everything would cause their totemic animal to appear. But will the animals show up? Or will it just be a hoax? That’s what you’ve gotta figure out in Waka Tanka, now available from CoolMiniOrNot.

Anthro-Adventures Fantasy RPG Up On Kickstarter

Sometimes it can be rough to find a gaming system that’s good to use to introduce new gamers, particularly younger ones, to the world of gaming. Well, Anthro-Adventures is designed to be just that. Though that’s not to say that it’d be boring to veteran gamers. Instead, it looks to bridge that gap, using familiar (to gamers) rules (the setting is designed to be used with Pathfinder) while the setting brings in familiar settings (drawing from various well-known anthropomorphic setting such as Redwall). It’s up on Kickstarter now.

New Ghar Attack Scutters Available For Beyond the Gates of Antares

An individual Ghar, without any sort of armor or vehicle to ride around in, isn’t exactly what most people would consider “intimidating on the battlefield.” They tend to be seen as weak, meek, and frail things. However, what they lack in physical prowess they make up for in the ability to craft items to more-than level the playing field during battle. With that, we see the Ghar Attack Scutters.
