  • Imperial Armour Model Masterclass Volume 1 on pre-order

Forge World are now taking pre-orders for Imperial Armour Model Masterclass Volume 1.

    From their announcement:

The first book of its kind produced by Forge World, it deals with advanced techniques for modelling and painting your Forge World and Games Workshop models, and features a guide to working with resin. Imperial Armour Model Masterclass has been many months in the making, and has been written by two of Forge World`s talented studio team; Phil Stutchinkas, winner of many model competitions including the prestigious Euro Militaire 2006 Best of Show, and multi-Golden Daemon award winner Mark Bedford.

Intended for experienced hobbyists, Model Masterclass is an invaluable resource that includes guides to techniques such as air brushing and masking, terrain making (including terrain boards and trench works), using modelling putties and powders, how to prepare resin kits, and how to achieve numerous effects such as weathering, corrosion, battle damage and camouflage. It also goes into great detail on how to achieve remarkable results on your models and features many unusual and innovative methods and a wide range of media including some very surprising tricks involving the likes of hairspray, pencil graphite and floor polish.

Model Masterclass Volume One focuses chiefly on Imperial and renegade vehicles and contains in-depth sections and stage-by-stage guides on projects including a Renegade Medusa, a Cadian Stormsword and a Krieg Macharius, as well as dioramas such as the Krieg D-Battery Artillery Emplacement, the Imperial Typha-4 Airbase and the huge Siege of Vraks battle board displayed recently at Games Day UK.
