  • ALTERRA1 release new 28mm sci-fi range

ALTERRA1 have announced the release of the first three miniatures in a new 28/30mm sci-fi range that will also be of interest to Weird War gamers.

    From their announcement:

The figures are to form part of the “ALTERRA1″ universe, whereas the main area of Sharkit is the manufacture of short-run airplane kits, mainly of exotic subjects such as X-Planes, “Luft 46″ models and early guided missiles, but also rockets and spacecraft.

Nonetheless, the 28mm range will see some more additions in the next months, and probably even more if it is well received.

Stylewise, the figures are Retro-future designs, so would work in a Sci-Fi setting (such as the ALTERRA1 universe, background fluff for which can be found on the company website) as well as for Retro, Pulp and Weird War games.

Most excellent! Man, that’s low tech…

    Zac says:

Not sure about low tech as the Piker appears to have some sort of beam weapon

They’d obviously make nice alternitave Buffalo suits for AE-WWII, pity you can;t just order the individual models because I’d have scored a few SAKS’

These are totally cool retro-tech in the Maschinenkrieger spirit. I also like the recce hover car, drone and Giants Causeway terrain elsewhere on the site (check out the news page). There far too few hover vehicles out there & it’s nice to see someone actually doing one.

    Macrocosmic Engineer says:

Zak - I just looked at the site; the Piker’s ‘beam weapon’ is a ’short-range plasma torch’. It’s not a beam weapon ( a laser or other), but horribly nasty anyway.

    Muteki (Gareth) says:

    I love these; very M.aK.

    Zac says:

    Very M.ak indeed

    Darkson says:

These are very cool looking. They would work very well for Buffalos. ;)
