  • Frontline General: Italian Campaign Print & Play files now online

The “Print and Play” version of the Frontline General: Italian Campaign Introduction are now online and available for download.

    From their announcement:

I am very pleased to announce that the entire print & play version of the first game in the Frontline General System is now online, Frontline General: Italian Campaign Introduction. All files and a PDF of Printing Tips are located in the Game Files section of the website.

    Download the Game.
I invite you to download and preview the full game before either buying the high-quality production version or tackling a print run yourself. As far as print & play games are concerned, this is considered a ‘monster’. If you do choose to print the game- I’ve included a PDF of printing tips on the site including suggested media for each component, quantities required, and general information. Our main goal is to have players try out the Frontline General system. I am confident enough in the system to offer the first full introductory game as a print & play in parallel with our production version. If you enjoy the print & play game, I encourage you to consider purchasing a pro-printed version for its high production value including plastic-backed die cut Unit Markers, professionally printed Cards, included extras such as Ultra-Pro Card sleeves, dice, and a box- and also simply because this supports what I do and the years of work that have gone into this game.

The Italian Campaign Introduction is just the beginning. Look for an expansion soon that will include the full Southern Italy Campaign Map as well as 4 or 5 historical scenarios to broaden your gaming experience with the Introduction. Future expansions will focus on adding additional Units, additional countries, new scenarios, campaigns, maps, and more. With each expansion, you’ll be able to use the Cards and components that you already have, resulting in many more options for your games as they become available. As mentioned to some of you at Gen Con- where we take the system and focus our expansion development will be up to you, the players of the Frontline General System.

    The Community
As you play Frontline General, I encourage you to connect with other players across the world and with us in our Forums. Document the games with After Action Reports- there are a lot of gamers including myself who enjoy reading these reports. One new user in the forums is even planning to convert the game to Play By Email (PBEM) to connect with his friend in another state. Another forum member in Italy is working on an Italian translation of the rules. The game is receiving international interest- just today I shipped copies to Belgium, Italy, and Germany. Consider listing yourself in the Player Finder Forum- this can be a great way to connect with other players.
