Excuse me, I seem to have meant to say "I would just turn it into a blob." I can paint some toughguy standing around to a decent standard, but flames are tough to me. It's not just that, though, I think you'd have to do a pretty good job on the rock bits as well to get the idea of the model across (meaning: that might look like a cloth turban, but it's really stone). Maybe I'm just broadcasting my shortcomings here.

@ Gitteau

Really? I don't find painting flames all that difficult. I'm not claiming I can do anything as good as shown here, but it has to be about the easiest colour scheme to blend. As long as you have a decently dark body, like they've done, I think it would be easy to disntiguish the body in all those flames.

I have to say that many of the miniatures in this line, while amazingly sculpted, weren't my cup of tea... this model however is amazing and I better not look any deeper for fear of getting snagged by another game that I just don't have time to get involved with ;-)

The only problem I have with this model is that I think you would have to paint it to a similar standard to have it look at all nice. An average painter would just turn it into a blob, I think.

Absolutely love it - yet again a beautiful paint job showing off a mini to it's best potential.

I couldn't work out what I was looking at from the green but the painted version looks brilliant.
