I might be able to maintain that attitude if I liked more of the factions, but Cthul and Mars are the only ones doing it for me.

I'm definitely getting into this one - I'm not too bothered about having the whole set.

I just like the idea of wrecking my way through a city with big monsters and robots.

As much as I love to beat dead horses, that sentiment has been expressed on TGN about a hundred times now. I agree, and it will keep me from buying into this game (finally decided!), but PP has been adamant about keeping it collectible.

This stuff all looks cool but man...the whole randomness factor is killing it for me and I suspect it's the same for many others. I feel like the CMG fad has run it's course and with the exception of the high profile/long established properties in this genre there is very little incentive to get involved in a new game like this. Particularly after the Dreamblade fiasco, it's very hard at least locally to get people excited about a new CMG. There was absolutely no commitment around here for Mutant Chronicles until it was announced that the randomness would be removed from the game. There is zero interest at the FLGS for Monsterpocalypse at the moment in spite of the fact that Privateer Press is generally held in high regard.
