La Pleureuse concept art
The Hell Dorado website has a new entry today detailing the concept art for the La Pleureuse miniature. She is an independent Daemon, (similar to a Mercenary?) and is set to be released with the next wave of releases for Hell Dorado.
What is she? Besides an indepentant demon - cant make heads or tails of French.
She’s the Mourner or Weeper (depending on translation). She’s for the Demons and the Independent is her rank.
Concept art looks cool, I think its better than the rulebook…but I don’t remember exactly what she looks like in the rulebook.

She will probably see a fair amount of use when she’s released and also prove to be the bane of every one else’s army. She has a permanent aura that covers the whole battlefield that causes damage equal to the CMD used when an enemy model issues an order. On the downside, she has no CBT stat and her DEF is 3.
Looks interesting but it immediately made my think of this Rackham model

Not that either of them hold any kind of unique pose but just thought it was interesting.
Yea, I actually thought the same thing when I saw the art. :)
At least the pose makes some sense with this new model.
She’s pretty nice looking. I wonder if the dead baby will be as controversial as the crawling fetus. The rules for her sound pretty cool, too. I find the “demonic mercenary” stuff a little weird, though. Would Christian crusaders (or Muslim holy warriors) really ally with forces that are obviously evil?
As with every model in the rulebook, her special abilities are described in this thread. She is translated as ‘Mourner’, but as Uzo mentioned, ‘Weeper’ would be just as good a translation (as far as I can tell ^^).
I’m very interested in this miniature, the concept art looks great.
However, she’s not a Mercenary. Independent is the model’s rank, as opposed to Officer, Soldier, or Lemure.
Oh, right. Dumb me. Well, I still don’t approve of pious humans cavorting with demon horses and the like.
