  • Warlord Games release Celt plastics

Warlord Games have announced the release of their 28mm Celt plastic set.

    From their announcement:

We’re delighted to be able to announce the release of our new hard plastic Celtic Warriors boxed set.

This contains 30 hard plastic 28mm multi-part Celt warriors. Armed with spears, longswords, javelins and shields these extremely dynamic models provide an almost unlimited variety of poses. Also included is a sheet of shield transfers with artwork by Stephen Hales (of Little Big Men Studios fame).

This release follows on from our hugely popular Imperial Roman Legionaries plastic boxed set.

Both our Celt and Roman ranges have full metal support - we already have metal eastern archers, slingers and western archers out for the Romans. Sign up for our newsletter to be the first to hear the news on future releases.

These look fantastic and having the heads seperate should really allow lots of character by different arrangements.

I have the other Roman and Celts on pre-order before their delay and before I knew of these from the ECW WAB creater and the former editor of White Dwarf.

Seeing these Celt sprues on their website, I think I’m going to buy a box rather than wait on the others.

That painted shot really does look very, very cool indeed - excellent looking minis.

I REALLY like these. I think it’s about time someone takes this track with historicals. Two thumbs up!

I just ordered one box of Romans and one of Celts from my local game store. WIth the uncertainty over Factory release of their plastics, this is my first plunge into hisotrical plastics which I really am looking forward to trying.

Despite the slightly higher price per mini, due to the fact that they’ve gotten to market with both sides first as opposed to Wargames Factory has pretty much tipped my hand in favor of the Warlord plastics. That and I think the segmented armor looks cooler than chainmail :).
