i saw a preview at my local gw store (they did a cool powerpoint presentation), the necron set is composed by 4 box of necrons warriors, 3 destroyers and the monolith (maybe i don't remember the number of boxes for each unit but i'm pretty sure this is the content)

Snapfit minis for horde-armies have to be a good thing - I'm liking that idea.

Laserpointers in the hands of teens gah! I can see the crashes on the streets now as drivers are dazzled by sniper fire from local GW shopfronts.

Cool idea - could be interesting to see how it develops in practice.

I'm with the 'use your eyes, common sense and, as a last resort, a stick' for settling arguments about LOS ;-P

re: the small mini packs, I believe they're going to be snap-fits like this: http://warseer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=136064

When I first saw them I thought they looked terrible, but given what a pain it is to assemble an IG platoon, I'm sure they'll be welcome.

No the laser pointer is not lasgun shaped - its more of a tau looking thing. It is specifically shaped so you rest in on the model and aim. And on second look Im not sure its a true laser pointer - might just be a strong LED showing through a crosshair aperture.

Actually I like the spray gun - most modeling ones that are similar look pretty crappy too and this one atleast looks to have a decent trigger on it.

That laser pointer is genius, its going to be a laser light show in every GW store around the world. I wonder how much blind kids spend on mini's anyhow?

More importantly will it be in the shape of an "Emperors Flashlight"TM?

However, it's stupidly-made. They'd do well to have something like a wee mirror in the tip to point it 90 degrees away from the body of the device, so you can get the laser to start pretty much exactly at the model's head.

P.S. Why is a laser pointer any better than (a) your eyes or (b) a nice stiff ruler or (c) a long slender dowel?
