News from Dark Sword Miniatures about updates to their website and the status on the latest greens from Tom Meier.
From their announcement:
I just updated the Dark Sword site with the following -
1. Two new Jeff Grace Dark Elf Greens. They were sculpted so they could be in battle with each other as they are from different houses.
2. A boatload of new painted pics from painters all over the world.
3. Information (and final painted picture) about Dark Sword Miniatures teaming up with MiniatureMentor.com and Jen Haley on a Painting Tutorial DVD with the Jeff Grace Visions in Fantasy Ranger. This is very exciting as I am a big fan of the MiniatureMentor.com concept of getting top painters from around the world to sit down for 2-4 hours and go over painting techniques with hands-on documentation/examples of how they achieve certain techniques and effects. We have another DVD due to be filmed later this year with the Parkinson Masterworks Demorgan miniature.
Tom Meier update: For those of your awaiting the new Tom Meier greens, they are still about 95% completed, but Tom has been sidetracked big time with a landslide of Star Wars toy work on top of his normal busy spring schedule of herding rug-rats, gardening, xacto knife and chainsaw accidents, etc. My hope is he gets a day or two to finish off the final two pieces very soon. Two are already in the can, but I want to post all four up at the same time (as two are GRRM pieces and two are another project that need to be shown together to achieve the effect needed as showing one would spoil the other. It will all make sense when you see them).
