2007 Reader’s Choice Fantasy voting round 1
We regret to inform you that due to suspicions of cheating and vote fraud in regards to the voting in both rounds of the 2007 TGN Reader’s Choice Awards that the staff of Tabletop Gaming News no longer feel comfortable with putting the TGN name to the results of these votes.
As such we are not going to be awarding any Reader’s Choice Awards this year. We are still working on the 2007 Editor’s Choice Award and will also be working on an article outlining some of our favourite releases from this year.
We’d like to thank all those people who submitted nominations and comments. And also those who only voted once. To those of you bragging about using an entire lab worth of computers to rig the voting, well thanks for screwing it all up for everyone. Hope you’re satisfied with the results of your actions.

This one was tough - all of these are excellent miniatures!
I agree. Some rough decisions to make
“Asmodee Chams Al Majid - Djinn” is missing from the votable list.
Fixed
Picking one mini from these twenty-one is a really tough call! They are all excellent in their own right and I wouldn’t be crying if any of them made an appearance in my stocking this christmas :-)
“Asmodée Bran Carnoth” didn’t make it to the voting list either. I don’t think it is worth adding it now though. There are lots of models I like at least as much anyway in the current list. Though choice indeed!
Also, thanks again Zac for going through the hassle of making the whole nomination process public. It makes the ‘competition’ so much more exciting!
PP Dire Troll?

If we left them all in then the voting would be a bit difficult. Its a huge list as it is.
We did this last year but even more so and trimmed the lists down to 15. This year I tried to just make sure that no one manufacturer was overly represented (to not dilute the vote too much).
There were close to 30 total fantasy nominations so leaving them all in would have, IMO, made voting next to impossible.
Went with the demon tower, its definitely on my want list, though I do like the blue resin elemental (just I have a pewter one already painted)
I’m officially confused as to how things are chosen to be in the categories of scifi vs. pulp vs. fantasy.

Did you not see the public nomination process that was ongoing last week?
These are the minis that were nominated by the readers here.
If you are confused by them then you need to ask the readers who nominated them :-)
Sorry, yes, I know about the actual process. My question(s) were more to the nominations themselves.
That was the nomination process.
If you have specific questions email me and I’ll try to answer them.

Oh, ok, I hadn’t realized about the size limit. I’m happy with the selection anyway, but thanks for clarifying.
Well we want people to be able to check the nominees out without having to take too long out of their time to do so :-)
There is also an issue of the time to vote. Unless we add another round of voting to the process, someone has to trim these down to a manageable number,
Hard to say since it seems more like I’m looking at the best painted figure rather than the best sculpt.
