  • 2006 Year in review

    Editorial

2006 was a great year. New companies came out with a wide array of great new miniatures and products. New paint lines were announced and released. And if you were a tabletop gamer it was a difficult to say “no” to all the new figs and games that were made available. Here is a list, with commentary, about some of the more memorable stories from the year arranged by the month in which they were posted.

Really appreciate the retrospective posts. Found two more 6mm sci fi suppliers that I wasn’t aware of since I wasn’t really looking for them earlier in the year. Thanks again for the informative, useful site.

That would have been Dark Realm and Exodus?

Since it was voted reader’s best new game on TGN, I’m suprised Infinity didn’t get a mention?

But overall, I’m glad to have this retrospective. Since I’m considering jumping to 6mm Sci-Fi, then nice to see a quick recap on the brilliant availability!

Infinity, Privateer Press and Battlefront almost never send press releases. So the stories you see are culled from their websites and often very generic.

Actually Exodus and the Baccus’s Command Horizon. Exodus is particularly interesting since my latest interests are Squats, Arbites, and Epic 40k. Time to redo my 2007 miniatures budget.

    Zac says:

I’m not sure how well the Command Horizon minis would work in Epic.

I am though interested in using some Epic figs for Command Horizon to test the rules out

Excellent wrapup, what a year it’s been.

Excellent Wrap up with the notable exception of no inifnity mention…

Thank you so much for reminding me why I started reading the site at the beginning of the year.

You really made my finances more difficult (its bad knowing every new thing out there!), but i think it totally worth it (wife doesnt necessarily share that opinion).

I could have swore there was an Infinity mention in there at one point. Not sure why it was removed.
